Lot 109.  1923 Lections Frank Chance -Rare Issue Est. Value in ExMt $4,000.00 These cards are so rare that they were not known in the hobby until 11 years ago when only two dozen of the Lections surfaced in Upsate NY. I have had the privilege of owning a 1/2 a set of these in my career (as you can see on my website sale page) with only the Chance card remaining in my posession, until now. The majority of the Lections cards that are known to have surfaced all have been seen with creases and grade, around Fair to Good condition. The Frank Chance card offered here grades Poor/Fair and is the #1 card in the set. It's Est. Value in ExMt condition (if found) is $4,000.00. When you are talking about rare Pre-World War II baseball cards, this is one of them.
Winning Bid $368.

Lot 124.  1911 T205 Gold Border Cy Barger "Partial B" Beckett Graded Est. Value in Nm $2,400.00 One of the scarcities in the 1911 T205 set. Cy Barger is the player shown on the card and on his hat is the "Partial B" variation which accounts for the cards rarity. To show you how valuable this card is, i stated it's Est. Value on the title which is $2,400.00 in Nm. The card offered here is a clean T205 Barger with a light 1" crease on the top portion of the card. The overall image of the card is clear with great looking corners. Polar Bear is the tobacco advertisement on the back. Graded 3 Vg by Beckett Services. A card that is on the wantlist of many T205 collectors.
Winning Bid $152.

Lot 201.  1911-1912 Jack Lapp Sweet Caporal Advertisement and (T207) Card Presented are two neat Tobacco items of Jack Lapp. Pictured is an original newspaper advertisement showing player Jack Lapp advertising for Sweet Caporal Cig. This ad is interesting since Lapp is advertising for Sweet Caporal Cig. picturing a pack in which T205/T206 cards were inserted into, two card sets that Lapp was not included in. The advertisement states "Jack Lapp, one of the brilliant young catchers of the World Champion Athletics." The advertisement was issued by the American Tobacco Co. and measures around 9" x 10". Along with this advertisement is an original 1912 T207 card of Lapp attached onto this piece of frameless cardboard at the bottom center. The front of the T207 card has an (Ex) grade appearance. A great piece to have professionally framed and placed on your wall. A true one of a kind vintage baseball memorabilia piece.
