Lot 52.  1927 W560 Babe Ruth High Grade Nm-Mt Offered here is a W560 1927 Strip card of the Bambino. This card has been locked away in my personal collection for the last 14 years. It is a card that is fresh to the hobby and has not been circulated in the hobby for the last 14-15 years. The condition of this 1927 W560 is Nm-Mt. Keep in mind, Being a strip card, these cards are usually always found miscut.
Minimum Bid $250.

Lot 69.  N172 Old Judge Elmer Smith, Cinn. (Significant card that corrected the checklist) The Old Judge card offered in this lot is an interesting one. In 1996 BcB Auction owner Brian Cataquet discovered this card and it corrected the Old Judge Checklist that was done by E.C. Wharton-Tigar. The checklist for Old Judge cards had player Mike Smith, Cinn. listed for decades, however there was never a Mike Smith who played for Cincinnati, it was Elmer Smith. This is the Old Judge card that corrected this error. A copy of the write-up done by Bob Lemke in SCD 11/29/96 issue will be sent along with this card. The card grades Fair, light image with no back damage
Winning Bid $100.

Lot 71.  Baseball Card Set 1973

Lot 72.  1921-1924 Type Cards Oxford Confectionery & Diaz Cigarettes (2) Different This lot contains two scarce 1920's baseball Type cards. Included here is a 1921 (E253) Oxford Confectionery card of Cy Perkins, Athletics grading G-Vg and a scarce Diaz Cigarettes card from 1924 of Roy Meeker grading Poor/Fair and always found in lower grade. The Diaz Cig. cards were printed in Cuba and are among the rarest 1920's baseball cards to find. Two hard to come by cards from the roaring Twenties!
Minimum Bid $125.

Lot 73.  T206 Piedmont Ty Cobb Portrait-Green Many T206 collectors believe this card to be the most popular & sought- after Ty Cobb card in the T206 series. This card of Cobb grades Fair and has a Piedmont back. There is no evidence of trimming as far as i can see on this card. One of the most popular and collected ball player cards of all time.
Winning Bid $400.

Lot 77.  1914 (E145-1) Cracker Jack cards (3) Different w/ Sam Crawford A collection of (3) 1914 Cracker Jack cards are included in this lot. The 1914 Cracker Jack series of 144 are much tougher to find than the 1915 series. Less cards were produced in 1914 plus they were issued singly as opposed to the 1915 Cracker Jack's which were issued singly but could be purchased through the mail. The three cards offered here are: Sam Crawford (Hof'er) grading Fair/Good; Boehling Good; Zeider G/Vg.
Winning Bid $121.

Lot 78.  1914 Cracker Jack (E145-1) #9 Art Hoffman & #16 Howard Camnitz Two great looking 1914 Cracker Jack cards of Camnitz, Pitts. grading (Vg); and Artie Hoffman, Brooklyn (Vg+). Both cards have great eye appeal. No back damage on both cards.
Winning Bid $100.

Lot 79.  1921-23 (E220) National Caramel (7) Different w/ Two Picture Error cards Here is a lot that includes (7) E220 National Caramel baseball cards. Caramel cards have always been underated compared to Tobacco cards. I always felt Caramel cards to be tougher to find than Tobacco cards (generally speaking). The player cards and their conditions included in this lot are: J.C. Milan Good; Walter "Buster" Mails Good; Oeschger G/Vg; Picinich Vg; Perry (photo actually Ed Rommel) G/Vg; Wilson (picture Samuel M. noted on card) Vg; Whitted Poor. All cards have no back damage.
Winning Bid $100.

Lot 99.  1922 Haffner's Big-Tayto-Loaf Bread Harry Heilman Hall of Famer- Very Rare! Offered in this lot is an extremely rare type bread card of Hall of Famer Harry Heilman. This is the only Big-Tayto-Loaf Bread card I ever owned and quite unique with a HOF player on the front. Many baseball historians considered Harry Heilman to be the second best right handed hitter of the 1920's (behind Hornsby). The card has been graded Vg by PSA. A truely rare type card that is extremely difficult to find especially with a star player on the front.
Winning Bid $375.

Lot 109.  1923 Lections Frank Chance -Rare Issue Est. Value in ExMt $4,000.00 These cards are so rare that they were not known in the hobby until 11 years ago when only two dozen of the Lections surfaced in Upsate NY. I have had the privilege of owning a 1/2 a set of these in my career (as you can see on my website sale page) with only the Chance card remaining in my posession, until now. The majority of the Lections cards that are known to have surfaced all have been seen with creases and grade, around Fair to Good condition. The Frank Chance card offered here grades Poor/Fair and is the #1 card in the set. It's Est. Value in ExMt condition (if found) is $4,000.00. When you are talking about rare Pre-World War II baseball cards, this is one of them.
Winning Bid $368.

Lot 124.  1911 T205 Gold Border Cy Barger "Partial B" Beckett Graded Est. Value in Nm $2,400.00 One of the scarcities in the 1911 T205 set. Cy Barger is the player shown on the card and on his hat is the "Partial B" variation which accounts for the cards rarity. To show you how valuable this card is, i stated it's Est. Value on the title which is $2,400.00 in Nm. The card offered here is a clean T205 Barger with a light 1" crease on the top portion of the card. The overall image of the card is clear with great looking corners. Polar Bear is the tobacco advertisement on the back. Graded 3 Vg by Beckett Services. A card that is on the wantlist of many T205 collectors.
Winning Bid $152.

Lot 132.  1940 PIN LOT (4) DIFFERENT
Winning Bid $83.

Lot 198.  1910 T206 Red Hindu Red Hindu
Minimum Bid $100.

Lot 201.  1911-1912 Jack Lapp Sweet Caporal Advertisement and (T207) Card Presented are two neat Tobacco items of Jack Lapp. Pictured is an original newspaper advertisement showing player Jack Lapp advertising for Sweet Caporal Cig. This ad is interesting since Lapp is advertising for Sweet Caporal Cig. picturing a pack in which T205/T206 cards were inserted into, two card sets that Lapp was not included in. The advertisement states "Jack Lapp, one of the brilliant young catchers of the World Champion Athletics." The advertisement was issued by the American Tobacco Co. and measures around 9" x 10". Along with this advertisement is an original 1912 T207 card of Lapp attached onto this piece of frameless cardboard at the bottom center. The front of the T207 card has an (Ex) grade appearance. A great piece to have professionally framed and placed on your wall. A true one of a kind vintage baseball memorabilia piece.
Minimum Bid $125.
