Lot 223.  1923 Yankees Stadium Opening Day Historic Picture Framed Offered in this lot is this historic picture from opening day @ Yankees Stadium -4/18/1923 in which the Yanks opened up the Stadium for the very first time in its history and beat the Red Sox 4-1. The item presented is a framed Photo File collectible which measures 7 x 9 1/2 inch-in photo size center, mounted inside a 15 x 11 1/2 inch-matted frame. The Babe homered in this game and also on this day it drewed the largest crowd ever with 65,000 fans in the ball park. This picture represents all of these feats. Lot 226.  1930s Howard Ehmke Sewing Pennant in His Factory Cabinet Wire Photo Offered is a 1930s wire photo cabinet which measures around 9.5 x 10.5 inches in size. The wire photo pictures Ehmke, who is known for giving up Babe Ruths 1st HR during Ruths 60 HR year, sewing up the pennant in his own factory. The pennant Ehmke is sewing could possibly be the 1929 World Series pennant in which the Athletics came from behind to win the World Series against the Cubs. Minimum Bid $10.
